Lily Smith

President Student Experience

Lily was elected as President Student Experience in March 2026 and took office on 1st July 2026

Who Am I?

Hello!

I’m Lily, your President of Student Experience for the 2026/27 academic year!

As a local to Bournemouth, it’s no secret the gorgeous scenery and creative atmosphere is what sets this town apart, but on a student level, I thrived in this community that supports creativity and freedom of expression. And I want to make sure you do too!

I recently graduated in Illustration BA (Hons) which was such a fun time and taught me so much about myself!.

Community, the cost of living and being more eco-conscious are at the heart of my campaigns, and are the reasons why I initially took up this role. As the year progresses I expect other things that are important to me to pop up, either through student feedback or discussions in committees.

I am so excited to see where this role takes me, and to give back to AUB students! Please don’t hesitate to drop me a message on how I can improve your student experience!

What's the role of President Student Experience?

The President Student Experience is one of 2 full-time elected officers and is a sabbatical trustee for the Students’ Union too.

I work full-time across the year to deliver my campaigns, run events with students and ensure your voices are heard.

Specifically, I am more closely involved with student engagement, clubs & socs, as well as being on a range of committees you can view to the right!
