Money can be a big worry for a lot of students. While we are unable to offer specific financial advice, we can try to point you in the right direction.

 

Student Finance

The Student Services team are able to give you advice regarding student finance and dealing with Student Finance England, and can help guide you if you have questions about your student loan. They can also help with emergency financial support. Contact them here. 

UCAS also has plenty of information about Student Finance available on their website.

 

STUDENT COUNCIL TAX

If you are a full-time student you are exempt from paying Council Tax. If you do get billed by the council, you can apply for an exemption. Please note: everybody in your household must a full-time student for the property to be eligible. 

 

GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES

There are a variety of grants and scholarships, as well as travel bursaries, made available to students from AUB for both home and international students. More information can be found here.

 

NUS TOTUM CARD

The NUS Totum card (previously the NUS Extra card) gives students exclusive access to deals and discounts both online and on the high street, helping you to save a bit of money whilst you're at university.
